MAAG Pump Systems AG (Oberglatt, Switzerland) has acquired Witte Pumps & Technology GmbH (Tornesch, Germany). Founded in 1984, Witte Pumps & Technology develops and manufactures gear pumps and provides aftermarket parts and services for the chemical, plastic and polymer processing, food-and-beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Witte's deep experience, know-how and broad-ranging advanced technical knowledge allow it to deliver world-class customized solutions to its blue-chip customers across the globe.
With the acquisition of Witte, MAAG will establish a new integrated Gear Pumps business unit, which will be led by the managing director and former owner of Witte Pumps & Technology, Sven Wieczorek. Creating the Gear Pumps business unit will enable MAAG to serve its customers even more effectively by leveraging an expanded and integrated footprint, delivering an enhanced product portfolio and offering complete solutions to a wider range of customer needs. MAAG has production sites in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the U.S. and China, as well as service centers and sales offices in France, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Thailand and Brazil. Witte Pumps & Technology manufactures in Germany and has sales offices and service centers in the U.S. and China.
